This project is my chance of a lifetime! I have two competent young men researching portraits for me in the land of the living. Every week they will be sending me photos from their travels, and telling me stories about the people and places they encounter. All I have to do is tune in on my intuition, and let the bits and pieces transform into whole persons to be projected onto my canvas. I will start out using oil paint and leaf metal techniques for the portraits, but will stay alert and open for new inspiration from the US.

Anne-Mette Lehrskov is a 55 years old artist, specializing in people of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Her work combines old painting techniques, associative painting, and modern portraiture. Besides art and artwork, she is engaged in social work, therapy, and teaching philosophy. She lives in the high north of Denmark, surrounded by wide open space and the ever-blowing western wind - right across from the US.
